Staff policy and recruiting new staff
We process the personal data of staff members and job applicants.
Staff members
We process staff members’ personal data for the purposes listed below:
- Implementation of HR policy inflow, outflow, secondment, parental leave, holidays, etc.
- Implementation of employee schemes trade union membership fee, health insurance and mortgage
- Implementation of mobility policy car lease, public transport and commuter kilometre records
- To manage absenteeism
- Performance management managing staff members’ performance
- Management development developing the management and leadership skills of current and future managers
- Time recording
- To arrange and manage our internal training course programme
- To manage registration card data
- To manage digital equipment
- To handle reports of incident and instances of wrongdoing
- To monitor and control access to buildings
- Reservation of working days at the office to enable a safe return to the office in accordance with COVID-19 measures
- For screening purposes
- Provision of data and communication technology, such as email, telephones and teleconferencing applications, and the necessary processing for this
- Retention policy e-mail. From Q4 2024 all emails that are sent or received reside under a 10 year retention policy. Employees will at all times have the possibility to delete emails that are not work-related’. These will be removed permanently.
- Processing sports facilities user agreements data
- Special investigation in case of a suspected breach of integrity
- Monitoring the use of digital assets, including by analysing log files, for the purpose of monitoring the reliability, integrity and confidentiality of DNB data
- Personnel data can be shared with a labour lawyer to obtain advice in connection with an employee’s performance and/or a suspected breach of integrity.
Note: For temporary staff under the authority of a DNB manager the same processing operations apply to as to employees.

Legal basis
We process your personal data either because it is necessary for the execution of your contract of employment (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR), or because it is necessary for the performance of a legal obligation incumbent on us (Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR), or because we have a legitimate interest in the context of our operational processes (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
Your personal data and third parties
Personal data may also be provided to Central Bureau of Statistics for the purpose of measuring inclusivity.
Job applicants
We process the personal data of job applicants for the purpose of recruiting and selecting new staff. Personal data provided by the applicant are collected and processed by us for the purpose of handling the application for a position and enabling a responsible, efficient and effective application process. In addition, extra attention is paid to applicants who are disadvantaged on the labour market.

Legal basis
We process these personal data because we have a legitimate interest in the recruitment and selection of new employees (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). The Judicial Information Service requires your permission for retrieving your judicial data for the purpose of the background check.

We do not provide your personal data to third parties.
