De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) is committed to providing financial information and education. There is an exhibition on gold, money and the economy with special tours for schools and students We also have teaching materials (in Dutch), along with material for papers, projects and for further learning.

Guided tours

Visiting with a school class or group of students? We offer special tours about the economy and the role of De Nederlandsche Bank. The tour guide takes groups through the exhibition, where they delve into the world of gold, money and economics. They go through the vault experience, play games and learn more about the tasks of De Nederlandsche Bank. The tour is suitable for pupils in the second year of secondary school and up, and for students in higher education. Read more about the tours.

Teaching materials

De Nederlandsche Bank offers a variety of online teaching materials (in Dutch) for secondary schools. Teachers can use these in their classes. The teaching materials cover the tasks of De Nederlandsche Bank. This includes monetary policy and sustainable prosperity, as well as topical issues such as foreign trade and import tariffs. See the range of teaching materials.

Talks and papers

DNB also has study materials for pupils and students. These include animations and videos on money and the economy. In the videos, DNB experts explain various topics such as inflation, payments, sustainable prosperity, money laundering and hacking. This is useful for preparing for a talk or writing a paper.
