16-10-2024 DNB publishes update MESREP taxonomy version 3.0.0

DNB has published an update of the MESREP taxonomy, version 3.0.0. This taxonomy version applies to reporting periods from (i.e. figures for) the first quarter of 2025.

Under User documentation MESREP taxonomy version 3.3.0 you will find this entire taxonomy package including release notes, as well as other user documentation.

Changes concern:

• addition of 14 forms on crypto-assets (T18 series) and liabilities (T19 series) by type;
• addition of a form on Fintech lending;
• addition of warning validation rules on negative positions (intention is to make these rules blocking next year);
• change of the names of the forms of 'Forwards';
• addition in profile IFSB of a blocking ('error') validation rule on Form T16.01 for field 'Name Counterparty'.

You will also find here the new version of the Manual (version 3.0), which has been adapted to the new taxonomy and also contains a number of clarifications and a single change (see the table under version management).

The 'DNB MES Excel templates 3.0.0' (Excel input templates) have not yet been published to prevent them from being used earlier for submitting the reports. They will be published in February/March 2025.

The forms are also in the 'DNB MES DPM Dictionary And Annotated Templates 3.0.0' file, albeit in different form, and in Excel form in the above-mentioned overview of changes.
