This decree pertains to the methods applied under or pursuant to the Financial Supervision Act (Wet op het financieel toezicht – Wft) in implementing European regulations relating to the financial markets and the persons working in these markets. It concerns the measures used to ensure adequate execution and enforcement of the relevant regulations.

In addition, the Decree regulates which articles of the EU regulations can be enforced in the event of violation with an administrative fine or order subject to penalty.
